Array 0.1.8
I’m really happy with how the release of 0.1.7 went. As of today, it’s our most viewed and downloaded version of the game, so I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for the incredible support!
With 0.1.8, I wanted to focus on polishing existing systems, adding quality-of-life improvements, and fixing as many bugs as I could find.
Space Junk Collector
The Space Junk Collector is a space station module that’s been in the game since the research system was introduced. It’s a very useful mid-to-late game module, as it provides a steady stream of resources collected from space junk by drones. Just like normal resource drones, Space Junk Collectors now have their own collector configuration. It works 1:1 with the drone config system but only appears in the UI once your first Space Junk Collector is built.

When I introduced the multi-resource update, I updated the animations for the Space Junk Collector but forgot to account for the fact that multiple resource types could now be found. As a result, collectors would either get stuck mining only alloys or crash the game entirely. Luckily, in this update, they’ve been brought up to speed. They now fully support multi-resource collection and are just as reliable as normal resource drones, while being significantly more powerful.
System Map & Galaxy Map
Aside from adding click-and-drag panning to the system map, I haven’t touched map functionality in quite a while. In this update, I’ve added the ability to click and drag to pan the galaxy map as well.

I also wanted players to have more flexibility with zooming, so I’ve significantly increased both the minimum and maximum zoom levels across both map views.
UI Panel Customization
The UI has been a thorn in my side since 0.0.1. For this update I really focused on refining it as much as I could not only making it easier to work on in code but also easier for the player to customize to make it the way they want it!

Now each section is drag-and-droppable allowing players to rearrange and set the UI Panel to a suitable configuration for their playstyle.
Bug Fixes and Other Changes
- Fixed issued that caused the Drone Config to become unclickable.
- Fixed the green color used in the settings for the buttons, it made the text on the button unreadable.
- Refined the save load process to include drone configurations.
